About Me and My Practice

I am Daniel M. Culp, a Missouri-licensed attorney practicing criminal and traffic defense in mid-Missouri.

I have been practicing law since 2010, when I graduated from Mizzou Law in Columbia, while also receiving a certificate in dispute resolution from the law school.  I also attended undergrad at Mizzou, where I received dual bachelor’s degrees in History and Political Science.  I grew up in and around Sullivan, Missouri (on the edge of the St. Louis area toward Rolla), where I graduated from Sullivan High School in 2001, after participating in football, baseball, scholar bowl, choir, National Honor Society, and Student Council there.

My practice is located in Columbia, though I frequently practice in Cole County, as well.  I am most interested in representing clients with matters in Boone, Cole, Cooper, Audrain, Callaway, Howard, Moniteau, and Franklin counties, though I am willing to accept certain cases in other areas- especially most traffic violations.  I have represented clients with a variety of criminal and traffic charges, including speeding, careless and imprudent driving, following too closely, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while revoked, assault, minor in possession, stealing, burglary, property damage, driving while intoxicated (DWI), resisting arrest, and peace disturbance.

In addition to my private practice, I work part-time as a legal adviser for students at MU, where I have been exposed to many types of legal issues outside my normal scope of practice.  Do you have a problem that’s not criminal or traffic-related?  Feel free to give me a call anyway.  I may still be able to help, or refer you to another quality lawyer if not.

I invite you to call me direct at (573) 259-3991, or use the contact form below if it’s more your style.  Just be sure to use it as a way to get in touch, and not as a way to tell me the details of your problem.  Besides not being secure, it’s not necessarily confidential.  I’m very serious about protecting your confidential information, and that’s why I have made you verify your understanding of the limitations of the contact form’s security and confidentiality via a couple required checkboxes before sending the form.
